Most helpful way to pick a tripod I've ever seen - particularly for someone like me who doesn't completely know how to shop for a tripod yet. :)

This much-requested chunk of Javascript to zoom images inline is designed to view full-size photos and images inline without requiring a separate web page load. Cool that it's free for personal use.
Ten tips on how to shoot interiors. Good to know, since that's on my List of Things to Practice.

Better than the CNN piece itself, this page of comments from folks who haved both sold their businesses and business brokers gives some ideas on how it works, what it costs, how long it might take... and what to watch out for.
"Track your rivals. Then eat their lunch." Cool concept. I always wonder who supplies all this "traffic data" these sites use?
This is so cool, and so inexpensive - a true type font from your own handwriting. But of course I don't want mine - I want my friend Stacey's. It's way better than mine.
There are just days when inspiration not only isn't striking but seems to have gone out the door and moved into someone else's house. Good, back-to-basics ideas here from How Design.

Knowledge Sharing & Competitive Research for User Experience Design. Very, very sweet.

OK, now that's just appealing to every inch of the Trek geek in me. I'm having a blast looking through the map and finding different areas from different series, episodes and movies. Yeah, OK, I know.
When working with a programmer, it's nice to have a common yardstick against which to measure the current "fix" you've asked for. This one's funny. :)

Delicious and available in 50-odd colors, these type stickers are awesome. Me wanty.
A micropay method of image licensing - CPM basis licensing, or free with advertising. Interesting idea, if it catches on.

"Connecting image makers with buyers.". An interesting idea, kind of an eLance-for-publishers and photographers kind of idea. Publishers can post an assignment, offer whatever they like as the reward, and creatives can post submissions for that assignment. Publishers pick the winner (though community voting helps) and dude, the deal is done. Worth keeping an eye on.

A great visual example of why Helvetica isn't the best option - at least, not the best first option, anyway.
The new and updated version of Boutell's World Wide Web FAQ. The original was one of the first FAQs I ever read online and I linked to it in the first web pages I ever built - my bookmarks put to screamingly bad HTML way back in 1995. Warning: if you follow the link to screamingly bad HTML and your eyes hurt afterwards, darnit, it's not my fault.

Less prop room and more warehouse, this is definitely one "library" I'd looooove to "check some stuff out" from. Gorgeous photos of hundreds and thousands of plates, bowls, silverware, candlesticks and more.
Good overview of what to look for, and lots of great screenshots. Squirrel Mail is horrifying, isn't it? Perfect example of what happens when you let a programmer design an interface. (No offense to programmers, but honestly...)
"For anyone else, if your pricing requires a call from a sales rep, it's too expensive for me right now. And I don't mean whatever your monthly/yearly subscription fees are, or the licensing cost. What I mean is that I don't run my business using the telephone. For now, it we need to talk on the phone, I'm not the right customer for you." And how. I wish more businesses understood this. Via Signals vs. Noise.

A nice micropay RF competitor for iStockphoto, which is good timing since the sale of Getty has me nervous about what we'll be seeing out of that company in the future. This site looks good though - and niiiice design. Which is always a seller for me.

Fantastically smart stainless steel stacking lunch containers - SO much better than plastic. I may just have to pick these up.
Who knew that taking the cat out of Garfield comic strips would be so funny? Watch Jon talk to himself. Actually, reminds me a lot of when I used to live alone. :) Thank goodness I have a fiance, two stepkids, a cat and a dog to talk to now!
Found via Slashfood of all things (yeah, I'm a foodie) - his still life and food landscapes are amazing. I'm looking through his collection exclaiming "How'd he DO that??" followed mostly by "Damn I wish I could do that" and then finally "I wonder if I could buy a print of that". It's like the photographer-envy life cycle I go through regularly these days.

An experiment done by the brilliant folks at Coudal: can you wash a keyboard in the dishwasher? Watch the video with sound on - while not required, it's absolutely hilarious the way they've edited it to go with the music. And who knew you could wash a keyboard in the dishwasher?
