do you market to small businesses?
posted 2008.09.05
I've been writing a small business e-newsletter for several years now; it goes out to 400+ pet industry small business owners, all of whom have a web site and are trying to conduct business via the web, whether it's selling online, selling wholesale online, or just setting up contacts online for wholesale offline.
The newsletter goes out once a month and usually includes one interview or small feature piece along with its other facts, figures, links and advice. Topics are really soup-to-nuts in the online business world: marketing, SEO, advertising, publicity, design, user experience, writing, tech, photography and more. Sometimes I write the features myself, and sometimes I'll feature interviews with experts: my most recent interview was with Andy Beal, the genius behind Trackur.
I'd like to include more expert interviews because, let's face it - despite my jack-of-all-trades knowledge in this wonderful world of web, there are many folks out there doing it better, more focused, and with more in depth expertise than I. ;) I'd love my readers to benefit from this experience, and get exposed to more points of view and more consultants who could help them improve their business.
I'm looking for all kinds of interview subjects: companies or individuals that do web hosting, sell software for small businesses, marketers, publicists, designers, photographers... if you do something that's of interest to small businesses online, you're likely right up our alley.
If you offer services to small businesses and would like to extend your expertise to my readership in exchange for publicity and exposure to potential clients, shoot me an email at angie AT angiemckaig dot com, or leave your info in the comments below and I'll get back to you. :)
