post you gotta love connectivity2005.04.16

Left Bloglines open in my browser (as I so often do) last night, woke up this morning, saw that it had logged me out. Went to log in, no dice. Forgot password said they didn't know who I was. Went to my public URL, and apparently I no longer exist.

Looked on their home page for news about this, didn't find anything.

Went to Technoarati, looked up the word "Bloglines".

Aahhh, sweet relief. Mine is not the only Bloglines error today. And that's really all I wanted to know - if it was just me, or if it was widespread. Widespread, can probably be fixed. Just me, a little harder, particularly with a free service.

(Why oh WHY is Bloglines not offering a paid version of itself yet, with more features?)

This is what the newspapers and other dork companies don't get. It is the very instantaneous connectedness, the dependencies between personal publishing and big business, that makes the web work. It is all part of a large system that only is as strong as its connected parts.

Oh, and yes, note to self: back up OPML file.

Yeah, had the same great experience today. Actually didn't think of Technorati'ing (eh) it. To be honest your post is the first mention of the problem I've seen today. Ironically, I came across it because you're in my Bloglines list, I've just managed to log on and this was the first post I read through.

Also had the same issue (and got really worried about loosing all my 150+ feeds)
I'd pay for a service where i could backup my feeds and have advanced features tho... come on bloglines..
