Sometimes I think we've become such a shallow society; it's all about the owning and the having and the coolness. How terrible a thing for our culture.
Then I see more groovy tech toys to add to the Tech Toys Wish List and forget all about the more philosophical concerns. Hell, these are just cool!
- A3i Office System
- Microsphere M1 Workstation
- Auravision EluminX Illuminated Keyboard
- Fujitsu ST4000 Tablet PC (more info)
Letters to a new blogger: “Whenever someone does something in public, including blogging, there is an element of performance involved, and you should remember this. Don’t be fooled by the first name basis, the colloquial language and the pop culture references. All of this can give blogging an air of intimacy and informality, which it definitely has, but it is a public intimacy and therefore somewhat artificial. ”
ArsTechnica has some really great articles worth perusing. Understanding the Microprocessor returns me fondly to days gone by when I loved reading about how hardware worked more than anything else in the world. Also available is their Introduction to Multithreading, Superthreading and Hyperthreading - this is something I should get a primer on, at least. Thanks, ArsTechnica.
