Hmm, froogalicious. I can't decide whether I love it for my personal use or I hate it because it does programmatically what I've been doing manually for a while now, but it does definitely have a gee whiz factor.

Kottke's recent post about speed games led me to SpeedCubing which is wild, I can't believe they still do this stuff! Also, a slightly better movie with a guy solving a cube in 40 seconds. Wow. Stuff like this makes me feel like to total spaz - even with hours on end I can't seem to actually solve a cube. And yes, I've tried many times. I have one on my desk. :)

You know it's time to pick up a DVD when Wired tells you to - but it's a lot of cash. Not for the player, but to get all the DVDs I want to have (think seasons 1 through 6 of Buffy just for starters). I'd have to pick up a part time job just to buy them all!
