Wired News Goes Standards-Compliant: And all I can say is Its About Time. Way back when, Wired was cutting-edge web design. Many well-known and talented people started out at Wired. Technical background on the redesign at DevEdge.

Drop Downs Don't Work. Well, duh.

Palm releases a new entry-level handheld. I think this is a good way to start rapid adoption among those who aren't geeks or radically organized already.

WeekendTrips.com: One of my mailing lists pointed me to this site last week, and I can't help but think Yum. I really, really want to do the Charley's Angels Day Trip. Awesome.

Felt like a brief dance through history, so scouted out some new links:

Frightenstein remembered! For those who haven't heard of The Hilarious House of Frightenstein, it was a Canadian kids show with campy humour, hilarious characters, and some brief educational content, all centered around spoofs of old horror movie characters such as Dracula, Frankenstein, Igor, Witches, etc. Its one real claim to fame was the opening sequence and occasional appearance by Vincent Price. It was horrible and wonderful and I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. I can't believe there's a site about the show, but I was so excited to find it. Talk about a trip down memory lane! Interesting thinking here.

The link above led me to two different free, peer-edited encyclopedias, very exciting news for infomaniacs like me: Nupedia and Wikipedia.
