Horrifying companies, dangerously stupid lawmakers... I have so many links collected about this that it's depressing to share. I'll skip the commentary and give you the links raw. You decide how depressed to be.

I had to respond to the Danish court ruling.

On the bright side, some countries get it and are going to help stick it to 'em: Japan's law on unsolicited email takes effect.

Finally, a side of business that every techie knows but people rarely talk about: The Integration Barrier Is Costing Money! God knows many companies I've worked for (ahem) have suffered from this. No wonder IT costs so much when we have disparate systems all over the place that still, after all this time, can't talk to one another?
