A call to arms for North America: You Deserve a Month Off. Very funny piece, and all too true. There was a day when a big salary that turned my head, and it was really the only negotiation I worried about. Now that I'm older and wiser, I'd turn some of that salary in for more vacation time, more lenient sick days, maybe even some training here and there. Working hard is not only rewarding (it's fun, too) but oh, how I have come to enjoy and covet my vacation time. Give the ol' brain a breather. You know.

As a nod to hilarity, I share the following recent gems: HeroBuilders, where you can get action figures from the war on terrorism. And a new find for iSightings: the iToilet. Dark humour always makes me smile. Also, in the genre of sheer inanity, I share The Museum of Dirt. Dirt on display from Elvis and Martha Stewart's yards, among others. You really can build a site about just about anything.

And finally, a great resource for those of us geeky enough to actually enjoy reading technical white papers: ITPapers.com.
