post I've finally found a cure2002.03.25

I've finally found a cure for terminal blogging: the flu. Talk about knocking you for a loop. One week later, and I'm still feeling the pain. But the blogging addiction is back, at least (thank goodness)!

Biting the Hand that Beats You: “How the entertainment industry and its congressional sock puppets are trying to wreck the Net and Linux along with it.” I love it when Doc gets on a Big Business rant.

Via Zeldman, two little tools to make your life easier. Doc.Right JavaScript converter turns your HTML into Javascript (a real time-saver!) and Make Swatches, another great online colour tool to add to my collection.

There's something about text-based gaming (TBG) that all the graphic whoops and whizzles in the world can't compete with. Just ran across a TBG that seems like an addictive bit of fun: NetHack. Just released a new version, apparently. I doubt that anything will ever compare in my mind with L.O.R.D. (Legend of The Red Dragon, a BBS door), but NetHack does seem worth checking out, at least. More on L.O.R.D. later.

Your front line (sales, tech support, doesn't matter) must always be fluent in the primary language of your market. Here's why.

MovableType just released version 2.0. Yum. How I want this software. Gotta scrape up the cash to increase my hosting account.

Best 404 I've ever seen, hands down. Brilliant.
