angiemckaig.com is now, finally, standards-compliant. It validates (except for my Google URLs; I haven't figured out why yet) as XHTML 1.0 Transitional, and is a pure-css layout with nary a table tag to be found. Hooray! What a liberating feeling, to be completely free of tables. To give credit where it's due, I must thank Eric for his excellent tutorial on Working with CSS. I've dug through at least a dozen tutorials, and this was the one that made it all click for me.

That's not all. After a brief period of amusement with the novelty of blogger templates, I discovered it was hard to find a comprehensive list of the sites that offer complete templates for weblogs or journals. If you're not concerned about copyright law, you should be. It's one of those things that has a ripple effect and touches much more than you'd think. For an excellent overview of the latest fun and games in this arena, try Dan Gillmor's editorial.

Ran across an excellent layout at 37signals - it's the ultimate "My Account" page for online banking. Wish the banks would actually listen to this!

Another step into yesterday - mindless fun in the form of JavaScript Yahtzee. Well done!
