An excellent article by Molly outlines the meaning of web standards, and why we should all code to 'em.

JJG is writing a book based on his excellent IA diagram and - even better - it will be simple enough to share with project managers and other boss-types who may have never heard the term IA much less understand its importance. I can't wait to order this book.

Ran across a yummy site with samples of two, three, four and six colour harmonies. For someone who occasionally gets stumped picking colours, this is a godsend.

In fact, it got me thinking I would like to learn more about colour theory. So I went on a link hunt and came up with these:

  • Kodak's Digital Learning Center has information on how to work with digital images, including a 6-chapter "book" on Digital Imaging.
  • Adobe's Color Management area gives the goods on how to manage your colour as well as basic colour theory.
  • Colour Theory by ArtsSchool Online is a sixteen-chapter book that gives you a great head-start on colour theory including the history and psychology of colour.
  • This colour theory lesson is more technical and also gets into colour as it pertains to maps and map design. Fascinating.

Finally, Google's running a contest that is simply brilliant. I love the way this company thinks.
