I'm glad to see people using the Internet to educate themselves - some of the top movers at Google's Year-End Zeitgeist include terms like anthrax, Taliban, and Afghanistan. Still, at least some of that new education seems to be for naught when you consider how many people searched for CNN. I mean, hello? CNN.com, how hard is that to guess?
Most actors portray a variety of roles and do so interchangeably. Sometimes, though, their portrayal of one particular role sticks in your head like a splinter and you just can't imagine them as anyone else. Exhibit A: Agent Smith from the Matrix. How can I possibly concentrate and believe him as Elrond in Lord of the Rings? For me, he will always wear a dark suit and say: "Human beings are the plague... and we... are the cure."
I absolutely hate it when sites build themselves in such a way that it is impossible to link to an individual area or sub-site directly. Why must I always go through the front door? I was going to link to a great sub-site on Thinkquest.org called Volcanoes Online (I watched Dante's Peak last night and just felt like doing some related browsing after the movie) but I cannot. The page I bookmarked (the home page to Volcanoes Online) only works properly once you've been given a cookie from their redirector page which has nothing to do with volcanoes. The redirector page, BTW, also messes up from a bookmark, so the heck with it. I cannot stand stupidity.
